Each step grows heavier than the last as the two friends slowly make their way to the peak. The amber glow of the setting sun throws the rugged path before them into sharp relief. They stop to rest for tea on a jutting rock and the rich aroma of saffron and cardamom fills the air. The road ahead is long, but they are grateful that they will not be journeying alone.
