Reliqvia

Description

Reliqvia, or "what remains" from its Latin derivative, pays homage to a great guardian of the relics of the Passion of Christ: the church of La Croix in Senigallia, a small Italian coastal town in the Marche region. From its Renaissance-style facade emanate the first fresh notes of blackcurrant mixed with sweet and bitter orange, topped by four pilasters. When you cross the threshold of this sacred place, the mystical smell of nutmeg enters, mixed with the woody smell of its walls. Finally, the incense in all its power embalms up to the coffered ceiling of this place dedicated to the daily adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Reliqvia, with its golden bottle reminiscent of the wooden walls of the church decorated with baroque reliefs, is the concrete testimony of an existence above us: the last trace of the Messiah's passage on Earth. The priceless custody of the sacred objects reminds us that time is precious and that it risks being consumed in the whirlwind of life. A mystical and mythical wake like the nail of the Passion.
